The STRO element is an open-channel RO element: a spiral wound structure with more membrane area, combined with a special open feed spacer that lowers flow resistance and concentration polarization. It is designed for high-salt and high-TSS wastewater where standard RO elements foul quickly, and it can replace equivalent Nanostone elements.
