Spacer tube (ST) modules use industrial anti-fouling RO or NF membranes in a rolled design with a wide, parallel feed spacer. They combine the pressure rating and fouling resistance of DTRO with the larger membrane area of spiral wound RO, so more water is treated per module.
Key features
- Parallel spacer keeps feed flowing freely and resists blocking
- Suited to high-concentration, high-COD wastewater
- Larger membrane area per module than DT, higher flux
- Salt rejection about 98.5% under standard test conditions
- Operating pressure 90 or 120 bar
Applications in detail
- Landfill leachate and high-salt industrial wastewater
- Electroplating, textile, dyeing, chemical, coal chemical, coking and steel wastewater
- Desulfurization wastewater and zero liquid discharge projects
- Seawater and brackish water desalination
