The 1060C is an industrial hollow fiber UF module with a large 75 m² PVDF membrane area. It is used for drinking water plants, process water and as pre-treatment before RO systems, where a stable filtrate quality is needed.
Key features
- PVDF hollow fibers
- Pore size 0.03 µm
- Large membrane area of 75 m² per module
- Flow 3,750 – 11,250 l/h
What is UF membrane filtration?
Ultrafiltration (UF) uses hollow fiber membranes with pores of about 0.01 – 0.1 µm, between microfiltration (MF) and reverse osmosis (RO). It removes suspended solids, colloids, bacteria, viruses and large organic molecules but keeps dissolved minerals in the water, so treated water still contains natural minerals. Fibers are made of hydrophilic polymers such as PVC, PVDF, PAN or PES, which resist chemicals and reduce fouling.
