uPVC housings do not rust, so they are a good choice for seawater, brackish water and water with chemicals. Body and cover are uPVC, and the bolted flange cover with stainless steel 316 bolts opens quickly for cartridge changes. The housing stands on round legs with four mounting plates.
Key features
- uPVC body and cover, no corrosion
- Quick-release bolted flange cover with SS316 bolts
- Union connections DN50/2″ or flanged DN80/3″
- Round legs with four mounting plates
How to choose a housing
- Number of cartridges: a standard PP cartridge (Ø60–64 mm) handles up to about 1.1 m³/h per 10 inches of length. For 20 m³/h, choose a 5 × 40″ housing (22 m³/h) or a 7 × 30″ housing (23.1 m³/h).
- Pressure: the test pressure of the housing must be higher than the operating pressure of the system.
- Material: plastic housings for small domestic and light industrial lines; stainless steel SS304/SS316 for higher flow, pressure and hygiene; uPVC for corrosive water.
- Cartridge change: replace cartridges when the pressure drop across the housing reaches about 1 bar.
