A durable stainless steel 304 housing for a single cartridge. It is used where plastic housings are not strong or hygienic enough, for example in food and beverage lines, hot water or outdoor installations. The threaded cap makes cartridge changes quick, and a mounting bracket is included.
Key features
- Stainless steel 304 body and cap
- Threaded cap for quick cartridge change
- Test pressure 8 bar (120 psi)
- Mounting bracket included
How to choose a housing
- Number of cartridges: a standard PP cartridge (Ø60–64 mm) handles up to about 1.1 m³/h per 10 inches of length. For 20 m³/h, choose a 5 × 40″ housing (22 m³/h) or a 7 × 30″ housing (23.1 m³/h).
- Pressure: the test pressure of the housing must be higher than the operating pressure of the system.
- Material: plastic housings for small domestic and light industrial lines; stainless steel SS304/SS316 for higher flow, pressure and hygiene; uPVC for corrosive water.
- Cartridge change: replace cartridges when the pressure drop across the housing reaches about 1 bar.
