Filter bags trap sediment and coarse particles at high flow rates. The bag and collar are fully welded in polypropylene, and the plastic ring has handles so the operator can lift and drain the bag without touching the liquid. Polypropylene bags have good chemical compatibility and can be used up to about 95 °C.

How a bag filter works
A bag filter consists of the housing, the filter bag and an internal support basket that stops the bag from bursting at high differential pressure. Liquid enters from the top into the bag, impurities stay inside the bag and filtered liquid leaves through the bottom outlet. As dirt builds up, the pressure difference between inlet and outlet rises; when it reaches the limit, simply open the cover and clean or replace the bag.
